My friend Sly Cat, the mouse and bird are red and the zig zag trim is bright blue, There's a yellow border and the interior and the saucer are bright bright red. Sgraffito carved.

Use the flower pot inside or outside (but bring it in before the first freeze). It's made of stoneware, built with a bit of heft and so it shouldn't blow or fall over even when the squirrels eat your plant! And it has a drainage hole in the bottom.

MY PROCESS:
I hand build from slabs and when the clay is dry enough, I apply colored slips and underglazes. I draw the design individually, on each piece, and then using the technique called sgraffito, I carve the images. The background color is removed as I carve and the design remains! When it's thoroughly dry, the piece is fired for the first time. I then apply a clear glaze and fire it again.

Ceramic items are fragile, so of course I pack with this in mind. You know that once a package is out of my hands, it won't be handled with loving care until it reaches your door!

I buy new supplies - bubble wrap, packing peanuts and boxes that are not available through USPS. We follow UPS and USPS shipping directives; we wrap securely in bubble wrap and fill the boxes with cushioning materials so that there is no jiggle room. We double box whenever needed, adding extra cushioning for multiple items and large pieces.

Once the piece is packed and weighed, I will refund any shipping overcharge over $2

Even prettier in person. Don't expect Stepford uniformity. It's imperfections are perfect. Also, buy it as a gift for yourself, and not for someone else if you're on a quick timeline. You have to wait for something this special.
